Gift A Membership

Share your love of discovery. A gift membership lets friends and family explore our exhibits, planetarium shows, and programs throughout the year. Each membership supports science education and can be used at hundreds of partner institutions worldwide through the ASTC Travel Passport Program. Cards can be sent to you or directly to your recipient, and memberships begin at the time of purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions About Membership

Your membership is active until the last day of the month one year from the date you join. If you renew your membership before it expires, your membership will be extended twelve (12) months from the current expiration date.

MOR is happy to announce that members now have the option of signing up for automatic renewals when purchasing or renewing a membership.

Yes! Gift memberships are available. The "Gift A Membership" option presents itself after you select the membership level you you like to gift.

As of January 1, 2026, Museum of the Rockies is no longer printing plastic membership cards. Instructions can be found to access your digital membership card at the top of the page.

Your membership is non-transferable and non-refundable. You can, however, continue to use your ASTC reciprocal benefits for the remainder of your membership year!

All adults visiting the museum need to be named on a membership regardless of whether they are accompanying children on your Family Membership. The caregiver must have an active individual membership, or be named as the second adult on a dual or family membership. Otherwise, they will need to purchase a daily admission ticket.

As of April 2026, Museum of the Rockies no longer offers a $45 “Additional Adult” add-on.  

No. Memberships are non-transferable and valid only for the members named on the membership at the time of purchase.  Daily admission tickets are available for purchase at the front desk.

Yes! Your Museum of the Rockies membership includes for free or reduced admission at more than 350 participating museums through the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) Passport Program.  

As a proud participant of the ASTC Passport Program, Museum of the Rockies offers free admission to visitors holding a membership at another museum that participates in the ASTC program. 

Free admission to Museum of the Rockies is provided based on the membership program at the visitor’s home institution.  For example, a visitor with an Individual Membership at their home institution is eligible for one free adult admission to Museum of the Rockies, whereas a visitor with a Family Membership at their home institution is eligible for two free adult admissions plus children.
Per ASTC Passport Program rules, reciprocal benefits do not apply to museums or science centers within 90 linear miles of Museum of the Rockies.  

Museum of the Rockies and ExplorationWorks – located less than 90 linear miles apart - offer each other’s members a 20% admissions discount.
ASTC benefits apply to museum admission and do not include free or discounted special exhibits, planetarium, theater presentations or other discounts.
