Montana World Affairs Council Lecture: How We Got to This Point - The Hard Lessons of 1979

Join us for The US and the Middle East: How We Got to This Point - The Hard Lessons of 1979 with Ambassador Mark Johnson (Ret.).

The Montana World Affairs Council is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan, nonprofit organization founded in 2000 by retired Ambassador Mark Johnson, a Montana native and a 30-year veteran of the U.S. State Department.

Ambassador Johnson (ret.) founded the Council on the belief that it was vital to bring meaningful and compelling international issues to the forefront of Montana’s schools and communities and to promote what we now call citizen diplomacy.

The Montana World Affairs Council is a member of the World Affairs Councils of America, the largest grassroots international affairs organization in the country, with more than 90 Councils in 44 states. We are dedicated to bringing the world to Montana and Montana to the World. Your support, your partnership and your sponsorship directly support Council programs; to create greater awareness of international issues, and how global affairs may impact our lives here in Montana.
