Explore the Museum of the Rockies in a special day just for Scouts. In partnership with the Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming and the Boy Scouts of America, Montana Council, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts are welcome to participate in engaging activities that will help scouts complete badge requirements.

Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scouts, ages 5 to 10, will explore “It’s Your Story” and “It’s Your Planet” Journey activities throughout the Museum.  Girls will help make a quilt, create their own yarn doll, make a piece of jewelry, fold origami butterflies, and learn about values.  Boys will be working towards completing Journey requirements.

Cub Scouts and interested youth, ages 6 to 11 will take part in museum-related program activities: they will learn how to explore the night sky; dig into geology; and discover the games, tradition and languages of the American Indians.  In doing so, those Scouts will be working toward earning their belt loops in Astronomy, Geology, and Languages and Culture.

Parents and/or leaders must accompany scouts at all times during this event.

Pre-registration is required and now available. Register online or call 406.994.6618. Payment is required upon registration.  Regular MOR admission will apply for siblings and parents.  Siblings and parents are welcome to join their scouts in Planetarium shows and participate in activities.
