VISIT

Open year round, the Museum of the Rockies at Montana State University houses one of the world’s largest collections of dinosaurs, permanent exhibits on Western history and American Indians, several changing exhibits each year, and a planetarium.

Visit the Museum to learn about startling new discoveries in dinosaur research, immerse yourself in Northern Rocky Mountains' history, explore Montana's Native American heritage, and experience pioneer life at the Living History Farm (the Farm is open only in the summer).

In the dinosaur halls alone you will find:

  • the largest T-rex skull in the world
  • the largest dinosaur skull ever found
  • some of the world’s rarest dinosaurs

The Museum of the Rockies is located at 600 W Kagy Blvd, on the south side of the Montana State University campus in Bozeman.

If you can't find what you need on this website, or just want to talk with a live person, please contact our front desk at  406.994.2251 or email us at wwwmor@montana.edu.
