This year's annual Montana Astro Fair includes speakers and workshops, solar and stargazing, telescope talks, and many other special events sponsored by the Southwest Montana Astronomical Society and the Montana Space Grant Consortium. 

Tours for Tots is designed to introduce little ones (ages 3, 4, & 5) to museum learning. Tour the Living History Farm before it opens to the public and learn what life was like 100 years ago in Montana.  All participants will take their own traditional bean plant to grow at home.

Free for members, $5 for non-members

Learn about Butte's historic contribution of copper and other valuable minersals, and take a private tour of the Duval gems and minerals collection.

Enjoy one of these family friendly, live performances of "All the West's A Stage" by Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. Featuring scenes from A Midsummer Night's Dream, the half-hour production pays homage to the old traveling troupes of the West.

This three-day camp will allow campers to dive into the science of bioluminescence and experience the Museum's newest traveling exhibit, Glow: Living Lights.  Campers will be introduced to the science of mid-ocean creatures that use chemicals to light up their bodies in the underwater world of living lights.

Raymond Loewy was a pioneer of the consumer design culture, setting the precedent for art-deco design. In this class we'll explore Loewy's legacy and build a reclaimed piece of artwork.

Campers will examine the current night sky in the planetarium to prepare for the real thing as they stargaze the night away.  A pizza supper and sleepover in the Museum's 30-foot tipi are part of this fun camp.

Campers will become Dinosaur Detectives as they spend a week digging around to learn about dinosaurs and their place in history.  They will learn about the process of paleontology and excavate dinosaur bones as well as explore all the dinosaur exhibits our Museum has to offer.
