FAMILY GAME DAY
Hot chocolate, popcorn, and games galore will fill your snowy Presidents’ Day holiday with great family memories. Back by popular demand, Family Game Day features traditional Native American games, board games, and some of the Museum’s favorite activities for our most popular exhibits.

SURVIVOR: JAMESTOWN FAMILY DAY
Fight for survival like the Jamestown colonists did. Try to start a fire without matches with Montana Outdoor Science School (MOSS), make medicinal tea for the common cold with Hill Botanical, and learn how build a shelter out of snow with the Museum staff (weather dependent). Then relax with a quick craft before heading home.

ANNUAL DINOSAUR EGG HUNT
Your family is invited to another eggs-tra special annual egg hunt for toddlers to 8-year-olds. Bring a container for collecting and arrive early. Participants will be divided by age. The hunt begins at 10am SHARP!

EGGSTRAVAGANZA
Immediately following the egg hunt, hop into the Museum for a family-friendly Eggstravaganza with a spectacular laser show, face painting, and a variety of children’s activities. Seating is limited for the three laser shows which begin at 10:30am.

JUNIOR ARCHAEOLOGY FAMILY DAY
Here’s what Project Archaeology and the MOR have in store for you: Make cordage, watch a flint knapper make tools, make cave painting prints, investigate prehistoric weaponry, learn to use plants and roots to survive, throw an atlatl, and measure a potshard. Weather permitting, AIA members will demonstrate a working bronze forge.

DINOSAUR FAMILY DAY
Explore the Siebel Dinosaur Complex with“Monty” the Dinosaur and the Museum’s Curator of Paleontology Jack Horner. Touch real fossils, watch Museum volunteers prepare dinosaur bones, and see Dinosaur Chronicles in the Taylor Planetarium at 2pm and 4pm. Eager paleontologists can get their faces painted like a dinosaur and make a craft to take home.
