Hello everyone and welcome to the Bone Blog. Here you can check out regular updates about my research and ask me questions. I'm excited about the successful opening of my new exhibit at the Museum of the Rockies called Dinosaurs under the Big Sky. If you haven't seen it yet I hope you will visit soon! Well, I'm headed off for the start of our summer 2007 field season. Check back here for updates on new discoveries! |

| I saw the new exhibit and loved it! I especially liked the Deinonychus attacking the sauropod. |

| My family and I visited the museum two weeks ago. I cannot adequately put into words what a wonderful experience we had. Dr. Horner happened to be on the exhibit floor the first day we were there and was kind enough to visit for a few minutes with my eight year old daughter (who, by the way, puts her parents to shame with her knowledge of dinosaurs). Why I am surprised, I do not know, but to have the leading mind in palentology share his passion with my daughter was an experience I will never forget. The exhibits were mindboggling; very educational and, at the same time, entertaining. Anyone interested in dinosaurs and that era of our planet owes it to themselves to high-tail it to Bozeman. The only recommendation I have for the gang running the museum is to display one of Dr. Horner's quotes that I found to be so powerful somewhere prominently in the museum. I am paraphrasing, but, when speaking about dinosaurs, he said something to the effect of go ahead and prove him wrong, BUT back it up with science. That is something I will always remind my daughter to do. Thank you so much for making such a wonderful experience for me and my family. |
