LIVING HISTORY FARM

It's the 25th Anniversary of the Living History Farm!

Tuesday, September 2–Sunday, September 21
Open 9am–5pm, Monday–Saturday
Open Noon–5pm, Sunday

It was 25 years ago that the Tinsley House was relocated to Museum of the Rockies and the history of Montana’s homesteading era was recreated at MOR’s Living History Farm. To celebrate, we’ve extended our season through mid-September, planned special events all summer long and scheduled exciting activities every single day! Our skilled costumed interpreters will take you back in time as they bake in a wood-burning stove, demonstrate cooking skills and recipes from the 1890s, tend to the Heirloom Garden, and forge iron in the blacksmith’s shop. So come and enjoy the beautiful sights of the garden, the smells of home cooking and the history of a time gone by that still lives on today.

Supported by: First Interstate Bank

In celebration of the 25th Anniversary, the Living History Farm is free to all visitors all summer long! While admission fees to the main Museum still apply, you can now experience the Living History Farm and Montana’s 1890s homesteading era for free!
