MOR’s Annual Wine Classic is held in one of the largest tents in Montana in July on the Museum grounds. Each year, this event helps raise money to support our Changing Exhibit Fund, allowing us to offer world-class changing exhibits to our local community and bring the world to Bozeman in three or more unique exhibitions annually.
Museum patrons and guests from all over the country descend on the Museum each July to sip wine, savor delicious food from local caterers and restaurants and most importantly, support the Museum. This event truly is a must for wine enthusiasts and those that just enjoy learning about wine. Guests will sample food and beverages from more than 15 different restaurants, taste over 20 different labels of wine and bid on incredible live and silent auction items.
What is the MOR Changing Exhibits Fund?
Experience the world right here in Bozeman, Montana through the Museum of the Rockies’ Changing Exhibits Program. Museum visitors like you have traced the origins of some of today’s inventions back to Leonardo DaVinci’s Machines in Motion; you have entered South American jungles, African rivers and American marshlands through the eyes of Frogs! A Chorus of Colors; and with the Treasures of Napoleon coming in 2012, you’ll step into the enigmatic life of the infamous French emperor. Find out more about the fund through this

The Changing Exhibits program at the Museum does far more than simply bring new collec¬tions into our exhibit galleries three times a year. It provides a constantly evolving backdrop for educational programs geared towards not only schoolchildren, but people of all ages. It gives families an activity to experience together. Teachers, and parents have also found various Changing Exhibits useful as communication vehicles through which to learn about and discuss complex themes. For example, one teacher, after taking her class to see Memories of World War II: Photographs from the Archives of the Associated Press, wrote, “The images plunged my students into imagining the reality of that time—the clothing, the faces, the technology, the conflict. Abstract ideas became concrete; history became real.”
Each year, the Museum invests more than $400,000 in this fundamental program.
Join us in making it possible to bring these amazing resources for lifelong learning to the Bozeman community and beyond by making a gift to the Changing Exhibits Fund.
